OREANDA-NEWS  The court sentenced Andrei Kislitsyn, the former Deputy Minister of Energy and Housing of the Sverdlovsk region, who was guilty of accepting bribes. About this "Tape.<url>" reported in the joint press service of the courts of the region.

The ex-official received nine years in prison and a multimillion-dollar fine. Given his previous criminal record, he will spend 14 years in prison.

As the court found, the former deputy minister, along with his colleagues, received money for general patronage from a representative of the "Ecochim Project" company. The total amount of bribes for the period from December 2021 to March 2024 amounted to almost 4.5 million rubles. Of these, it was Kislitsyn who received more than half.

The detention of the ex-official along with a man "from a large energy company" was reported on May 1, 2024. The court remanded him in custody for the duration of the investigation.
