The duty on the export of sunflower meal from the Russian Federation in January will increase almost 23 times

OREANDA-NEWS The duty on sunflower meal will immediately increase by almost 23 times. Thus, the indicator will increase from 79.8 rubles per ton in December to 1,826.9 rubles. This information was provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.
In September, the duty on sunflower oil amounted to 8,621.3 rubles per ton.
Indicative prices, based on which the duties were calculated, were: for oil - $1,207.6 per ton ($1,178.1 per ton a month ago), for meal - $246.2 ($231.1).
Since July, duties are calculated in rubles, not in dollars. The resolution providing for this and signed on June 30, 2022, also fixes the extension for a year, until August 31, 2023, of duties on the export of sunflower oil and sunflower meal.
According to the decree, as part of the transfer of duties to rubles, the base price for calculating export duties on sunflower oil is 82,500 rubles per ton (instead of $ 1,000, which were taken into account earlier), for meal - 13,875 rubles (instead of $ 185) per ton.
