OREANDA-NEWS   The territorial authorities of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia have initiated a number of cases on grounds of unjustified price increases for diesel fuel and gasoline in a number of subjects of the Russian Federation, the FAS reported.

"The territorial bodies of the Federal Antimonopoly Service have opened cases on grounds of unjustified increase in fuel prices," the report says.

Thus, the Nizhny Novgorod OFAS filed a case against a company that sells fuel at gas stations under the ESCO brand and under the Gazpromneft franchise in connection with changes in the prices of Ai-92 and Ai-95 gasoline over a short period of time, as well as failure to comply with a warning from the service. The entrepreneur faces a fine.

The Perm UFAS filed a case against the Likom gas station network, and the Komi UFAS filed a case against Dvizhenie-Komi LLC and Company 2000 LLC.

The Novosibirsk Federal Antimonopoly Service has identified signs of a cartel in the wholesale fuel market. The reason for this was the fact that Ai-92 and Ai-95 gasoline were sold at different prices for different buyers.

At the same time, the price of selling gasoline to persons who did not collude was higher, which could eventually affect the retail price of fuel, the FAS notes.

"As a result of the collection and analysis of information, the Novosibirsk Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has opened a case against GC Alliance LLC and Strezhtransservice LLC," the report says.
