OREANDA-NEWS  Russia in October last year was on the 50th place in terms of inflation among the countries of the world, the highest rates of price growth were in Zimbabwe (268.8 percent), it follows from the calculations of RIA Novosti.

There is also a high inflation rate in Lebanon (158.5 percent), Venezuela (155.8 percent) and Sudan (102.6 percent). Argentina closes the top five "anti-leaders" with 88 percent. In Turkey, the figure is 85.5 percent. Next to Russia in the ranking were Chile (12.8 percent) and Samoa (12.4 percent).

In total, there were six countries in the world with price growth rates from 30 to 40 percent and ten countries with an inflation rate of 20-30 percent. In another 44 countries, the figure ranged from 10 to 20 percent. Thus, in more than half of the states, inflation did not exceed 10 percent. In total, the indicators of 155 countries were compared.

Earlier it was reported that annual inflation in the euro area fell to 9.2 percent in December compared with 10.1 percent in November. It has been declining for two months.
