OREANDA-NEWS  A man who stole more than 262 million rubles was deported from Turkey. This is reported by TASS.

A criminal case has been opened under article 159 ("Fraud") THE Criminal Code OF THE Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the man was wanted through Interpol channels for large-scale fraud by a group of people by prior agreement.

Between 2018 and 2019, he and his accomplices gained the trust of two people and took over the properties they owned. They also stole 34 million rubles from one of the victims. The total damage amounted to more than 262 million rubles.

Thanks to the close cooperation of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation with the law enforcement agencies of Turkey, the transfer of the accused to the Russian side for criminal prosecution was agreed. On June 19 of this year, he was handed over to the Russian police at Vnukovo International Airport.
