OREANDA-NEWS The Moscow City Court upheld the verdict against former high-ranking employees of "Russian Railways" Alexei Savchenko, Oleg Kirillov, Denis Streltsov and Denis Andreev, convicted of receiving a particularly large bribe by a group of individuals by prior agreement. This was reported by the FSB Public Relations Center and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on Friday.

"By the decision of the court (of first instance), the defendants were sentenced from 8.6 to 12.6 years in prison, with sentences served in a high-security penal colony, with fines from 36.8 to 73.6 million rubles," the center said.

According to the intelligence service, bribes to former top managers were transferred by representatives of contracting organizations for concluding contracts for the provision of paid services for maintenance and routine repairs of vehicles of the state-owned company. "The total amount of the bribe amounted to 7 million 365 thousand rubles," the DSP reported.

The official representative of the Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, in turn, added that all the defendants were found guilty of taking a particularly large bribe.

"The guilt of the defendants in the commission of the alleged crime has been fully proven. The Moscow City Court upheld the verdict of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow," she said.
