OREANDA-NEWS  The official dollar exchange rate has again approached 75 rubles. The Bank of Russia lowered it by 82 kopecks, to 75.24 rubles. This is evidenced by the data published on the regulator's website.

The exchange rate returned to the levels of the middle of last week after it exceeded 76 rubles twice.

The euro was also reduced, but not so significantly. Its exchange rate, having dropped by about 25 cents, amounted to 88.38 rubles.

Reuters attributes the new strengthening of the ruble, which is still taking place against the background of the authorities' willingness to take steps that could weaken it, to the approach of the single tax payment day, which will require increased sales of the currency by exporters.
