OREANDA-NEWS Payments on maternity capital in Russia have increased by 39.4 billion rubles since the beginning of the year, with the largest increase in expenses provided by family applications for housing, the press service of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti.

"Payments on maternity capital have increased by 39.4 billion rubles since the beginning of the year. The largest increase in expenses under the program was provided by the orders of families for the purchase of housing," the report says.

It is specified that in the first quarter, the fund transferred almost 100 billion rubles to this area. The corresponding amount was 34.3 billion (52.6%) higher than in the same period last year. In total, funds were provided for 153 thousand applications from families.
