OREANDA-NEWS Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva lost to Canadian Victoria Mboko in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha.

The result – 6:3, 3:6, 7:6 (7:5) in favor of Mboko.

In the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), Andreeva ranks seventh and is the first racket of Russia. Mboko is on the 13th line of the WTA rankings.

Among the Russians, the 28th racket of the world Anna Kalinskaya is also represented in the third round, who will play with Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (No. 9 in the world ranking).

The current winner of the tournament is the representative of the USA Amanda Anisimova, the most titled is Iga Schwentek from Poland, three titles.

The tournament has been held since 2001, and over the years it has been won by representatives of Russian tennis: Anastasia Myskina (2003, 2004), Maria Sharapova (2005, 2008), Nadezhda Petrova (2006), Vera Zvonareva (2011).
