OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian Russian troika has been included in the All-Russian Register of Sports (VRVS), said Alexey Plotnikov, executive director of the Commonwealth of Masters and Amateurs of the Russian Troika.

"Before that, the Russian troika had no legal status, being, in fact, the hobby of a group of enthusiasts. It was not an object of culture, and therefore was not regulated by the regulations of the Ministry of Culture. At the same time, it was not a sport, which made it impossible to hold official competitions. Due to the lack of status, no public efforts to develop the Russian troika could receive an official legal embodiment. Now it is a recognized national sport in Russia," he stressed.
