OREANDA-NEWS The Ukrainian Water Polo Federation has appealed to the International Aquatics Federation (World Aquatics) to cancel the World Cup match in which the Ukrainian national team will face the Russians. This was reported to the Champion portal by Alexander Dyadyura, a representative of the FIPU and former captain of the national team of Ukraine, TASS reports.

According to the Ukrainian side, this match "should not happen at all." It is specified that discussions are currently underway with the organizers to resolve this issue. "They had previously said that there would be no match," the uncle said. However, there is currently no response from the international federation.

Earlier, the Russian national team won all the group stage matches of the second division of the Water Polo World Cup. Thus, the Russian national team took the first place in Group A.
