OREANDA-NEWS  More than 100 Russian soldiers were released from Ukrainian captivity, the Ministry of Defense reported.

"Today, on February 16, as a result of the negotiation process, 101 Russian servicemen who were in mortal danger in captivity were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime," the release says.

Those released will be flown to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation.Now all servicemen are provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

The last known prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine took place on February 4. The Ministry of Defense then reported the release of 63 people. In a statement, the ministry said that part of the military belonged to the "sensitive category" and was released thanks to the mediation of the authorities of the United Arab Emirates.
