A cartel worth half a billion rubles was discovered in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has uncovered a cartel worth half a billion rubles. This was reported by the press service of the department.
13 companies participated in the bidding for the needs of government agencies in Moscow and the Moscow region in the amount of more than 491 million rubles. According to the FAS, they conspired to maintain prices at 38 auctions for the supply of building materials, equipment, tools and workwear.
"During the consideration of the case, the service revealed a set of evidence that indicates the coordinated actions of the participants in the conspiracy. These are the use of a single digital infrastructure, synchronized bidding behavior, stable financial and economic ties between cartel participants, the implementation of the "ram" scheme, as well as imitation of competition," the department explained.
