OREANDA-NEWS  More than 185 grams of gold in the form of sand were found by customs officers at a Chinese tourist in Blagoveshchensk, the press service of the FCS reports in its telegram channel.

The man hid part of the precious metal in the smartphone case, and mixed the rest with the contents of shampoo, cream and toothpaste.

It was possible to identify the contraband with the help of an X-ray machine. The foreigner admitted that he was aware of the ban on the export of precious metals, and therefore hid the gold dust.

The examination showed that the metal particles are made of an alloy of gold and silver. Their cost exceeded one million rubles.
