OREANDA-NEWS  A drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a bus in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Denis Pushilin, the head of the Russian region, announced this in his Telegram channel.

He clarified that the tragedy occurred in the area of the settlement of Yenakiyevo near Gorlovka. The target of the drone strike was a regular bus from Moscow to Simferopol, according to preliminary information, seven civilians were killed. Another 11 people were injured, and everyone is receiving the necessary assistance.

The politician expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). The investigation establishes the details of the crime committed and the specific persons involved in the incident.

Earlier, the governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had begun remotely mining the overland route to Crimea, the Novorossiya highway. According to him, drones drop explosive devices that detonate when motion is detected. The politician urged not to drive on the highway unnecessarily because of the mine threat.
