OREANDA-NEWS  A large-scale scheduled inspection of public notification systems will be held on March 4 in all regions of Russia, and it is also planned to check the readiness of on-duty services to respond to possible emergencies, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti.

"Sirens and loudspeakers will be turned on all over the country on March 4. A planned large-scale inspection of public notification systems will take place in the regions of Russia," the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the notification system is designed to provide a timely signal to the public in the event of a threat or emergency of a natural and man-made nature. Comprehensive inspections of warning systems are carried out on a regular basis to ensure that all elements of the public notification system are operational and to increase the readiness of on-duty services to respond to possible emergencies. The previous test launch of the notification system was in October.
