OREANDA-NEWS The heads of the military and intelligence departments of Turkey, Russia, Syria and Iran will hold a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.

According to him, a meeting of defense ministers and heads of intelligence of Russia, Iran, Syria and Turkey will be held in Moscow on Tuesday, the purpose of which will be to resolve existing issues as soon as possible through negotiations, as well as ensuring peace and tranquility in the region, TASS reports.

According to Akar, "a number of positive developments" are expected following the talks in Moscow. He did not specify the details.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad in the Kremlin said that the joint efforts of Russia and Syria have made a great contribution to the international fight against terrorism.
