OREANDA-NEWS  India's Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed during a training flight in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, and the pilots managed to eject. This was announced by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on its social network account.

"Mirage 2000 crashed near Shivpuri (Gwalior) during a scheduled training flight after encountering a system malfunction. Both pilots ejected safely," the publication says.

Representatives of the Indian Air Force added that an investigation will be conducted to determine the causes of the incident.

Earlier, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecorny said that Paris had delivered the first Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine. He also noted that Ukrainian pilots had been training in France for several months, and now the fighters would "participate in protecting the skies of Ukraine."
