OREANDA-NEWS  Strong wind with gusts is expected in Crimea, a storm warning has been announced, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic said.

"Storm warning about dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena in the Republic of Crimea for December 1-3, 2023," the message says.

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on the afternoon of December 1, during the days of December 2 and 3, the south-westerly wind is expected to increase to 15-20, in some places up to 25 meters per second on the peninsula.
This is the third storm warning in the region in a week.

Last weekend, a Mediterranean cyclone hit Crimea, which brought stormy weather with heavy rains and hurricane-force winds of up to 40 meters per second. Thousands of people were left without electricity. The hurricane knocked down trees, damaged gas pipelines, and a strong storm passed by the sea. Waves flooded the coastal areas of Yevpatoria, the Saki — Yevpatoria highway.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Crimean authorities announced a new storm warning due to increased wind and heavy precipitation.
