OREANDA-NEWS  Russians are increasingly combining several types of employment, providing services through digital platforms, or simultaneously developing several professional fields, which has become a new trend in the labor market, according to a study by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, which is available to RIA Novosti.

According to analysts, digital platforms have made the labor market more flexible and opened up new earning opportunities.

"More and more people are combining several types of employment, working on individual projects, providing services through digital platforms, moving from one customer to another, or simultaneously developing several professional areas," the study says.

It is clarified that flexibility in such a situation becomes an advantage, but the constant need to adapt can simultaneously create additional psychological stress.

A large number of roles in the labor market require a lot of effort from a person, and because of smartphones, the boundaries between work and personal life are blurring. In addition, uncertainty about the volume of future orders makes it more difficult for people to plan their careers for years to come. All this can lead to a lack of stability.

Digitalization plays a special role in these processes. On the one hand, digital technologies have significantly expanded the opportunities of citizens. It has become much easier to find a customer in another city, complete online training, create a portfolio, or get an additional profession. On the other hand, the digital environment forces a person to constantly present himself to the market, to control reviews, ratings and pages on social networks.

According to the research, in the current conditions, the most important resource is the ability of a person to independently rebuild his trajectory. This requires developed social connections and confidence that one's own knowledge is sufficient to act in changing circumstances.
