OREANDA-NEWS  Humanitarian aid for Iran, delivered by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations aircraft to the Azerbaijani city of Lankaran, has been sent by truck to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Azerbaijani state border Service told RIA Novosti.

"Trucks of the Iranian Red Crescent with humanitarian aid went to Iran through the Astara border checkpoint on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border," the border service said.

On Thursday, an IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations landed at Lenkoran International Airport with humanitarian aid. The humanitarian cargo weighing more than 30 tons consists of medicines and first-aid kits.
