OREANDA-NEWS  About 100 thousand people remain without electricity in Crimea on Tuesday morning, it is planned to restore it by the evening, the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov said.

"In the morning, 93 thousand people are still without electricity, 245 villages with a violation of water supply, out of 125 boiler houses that were de-energized, heating was restored to 52...The pace that we have gained allows us to say that electricity will be restored in full by the end of the day," Aksenov said in a video commentary posted on his telegram channel on Tuesday.

According to him, 93 households in Yevpatoria remain flooded, the water is gradually disappearing. He called the situation difficult in the village of Geroevskoye, to which travel is difficult due to road damage. In total, 739 roofs of buildings, many coastal protection structures and embankments were damaged in Crimea.

The authorities intend to provide a preliminary damage calculation for applying for support at the federal level by 12:00 Moscow time, Aksenov noted.

Hurricane-force wind gusts up to 40 m / s covered the Crimea on Sunday. The authorities declared Monday a weekend, and an emergency regime was introduced in the most affected municipalities.

In a number of cities, the overflowing sea flooded houses and resort infrastructure, roads, felled trees and tore off roofs. In Crimea, one person was killed, 10 were injured, and five people applied for medical help in Sevastopol. About 500 thousand inhabitants of the peninsula were left without electricity.
