Anapa has launched an installation that sifts sand with fuel oil

OREANDA-NEWS A vibrating system for sifting smeared sand was launched at a temporary storage site in the village of Voskresensky in Anapa, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported.
"During the day, 952 tons of waste were collected from the coastline and transported to temporary storage sites. Sieving and cleaning of contaminated sand using a vibrating system has also been organized at the temporary storage site," the report says.
On December 15, tankers Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 crashed in the Kerch Strait area, 27 sailors were evacuated, one of them died. According to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, about 2,4 thousand tons of petroleum products got into the sea. On January 10, a new release of fuel oil occurred from a crack in the stern of Volgoneft-239, which was stranded near the port of Taman, and the bulk of the oil products were collected in three days.
