OREANDA-NEWS Belarus and Russia do not intend to attack Europe, Minsk and Moscow do not need an escalation of tension, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said.

"Recently, we and Russia have been reproached that tomorrow is tomorrow, well, if we don't cut off Poland, or maybe the Baltic States, or maybe all together, well, at least the Suwalki corridor... I've been hearing this for as long as I've been president, and I've been president for a long time. It's complete nonsense. We are not aiming anywhere. We don't need Europe, Paris, or London. Even Lithuania and Poland, even Vilnius and Warsaw. We don't need them. We do not need this escalation," Lukashenko said at the third Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, which is taking place in the Belarusian capital on October 28-29.
