OREANDA-NEWS  The Kremlin announced a meeting of the presidents of Russia and Belarus. Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko are planning a joint meeting to discuss topical issues. According to information from the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, the meeting may take place on Friday, February 17.

The Kremlin representative promised that the details of the meeting of the heads of state will be known later. There are no more detailed comments yet.

Earlier, on February 5, Putin and Lukashenko discussed issues related to Russian-Belarusian cooperation by phone. It was during that telephone conversation that the heads of state agreed to meet in the near future.
