OREANDA-NEWS By the end of June, a reserve army and an army corps will be formed in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. They will receive about 3,700 pieces of equipment. This was reported by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the Security Council.

The Minister, speaking about the formation of reserves, clarified that to date 114 thousand people and 52 thousand volunteers have been recruited under the contract. On average, 1,336 people enter the contract per day.

"They, as volunteers, are eager to fight. But we cannot do this, there is no such extreme need. Secondly, they must undergo serious training, which, in fact, they are engaged in. To date, 645 instructors with combat experience are engaged with them at eight training grounds," he explained.
