OREANDA-NEWS  The Government of Canada has expanded the anti-Russian sanctions list and added 30 individuals to it, their names are not indicated. This is reported on the website of the Canadian government.

It is noted that those who fell under restrictions ran in recent elections in the "temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine" in the Kherson region. Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly noted that Canada will continue to support Ukraine.

Earlier, British Deputy Minister for Business and Trade Nusrat Gandhi said that the British government would maintain anti-Russian sanctions after the end of the conflict in Ukraine. "The sanctions will continue to apply when the conflict is over. They will not be canceled on the same day as the conflict ends," she said, noting that such a policy would avoid "restoring Russia's military capabilities."
