OREANDA-NEWS The Canadian government has imposed sanctions against six media outlets in Moldova, including Channel One in Moldova, RTR Moldova and NTV Moldova. This is reported on the website of the Government of Canada.

The publication notes that Ottawa is imposing sanctions measures against six television stations whose licenses have not been revoked by the Moldovan Commission for Exceptional Situations. These included: "Channel One in Moldova", "RTR Moldova", Accent TV, "NTV Moldova", "TV6", Orhei TV".

Prior to that, it became known that the Moldovan opposition party "Shor", including its head Ilan Shor, were on the sanctions lists of the Government of Canada. Ottawa made the appropriate decision for the support of Russia's steps on Ukraine by the political force.

According to the Canadian Foreign Ministry, together with the Shor party, six more Moldovans fell under the restrictive measures of Canada. The Canadian Foreign Ministry stressed that we are talking about entrepreneurs, deputies and politicians of Moldova, who allegedly have some kind of ties with Russia.

Earlier, the US Treasury expanded sanctions against Russia.
