OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese carmaker Chery plans to start selling new Joico brand cars in Russia in 2023, Omoda (one of the Chery brands) said in a statement.
"The upcoming Shanghai International Auto Show will host the global premiere of the new Joico brand, which will become a senior offshoot of the Omoda brand. The auto show will open on April 18, 2023," the message reads.

It is specified that as part of the development of the Omoda dealer network, by the end of 2023, Jaecoo cars are planned to be presented in Russia in 120 showrooms - in 100 dealerships combining the Omoda and Jaecoo brands, and 20 independent Jaecoo showrooms. According to the Association of European Businesses, in the first quarter of 2023, sales of its own brand Chery in Russia tripled compared to the same period last year, to 18.9 thousand cars. Sales of two other brands of the automaker: Omoda and Exceed amounted to 5.6 thousand cars each. According to the first dynamics is not given, according to the second - an increase of 2.4 times.
