OREANDA-NEWS  The visa center of China opened in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

"Thanks to the active support of all parties, after a long and thorough preparation, the Chinese visa processing service center, which we have all been waiting for, has been successfully launched in St. Petersburg today," Zhang Xiaoqing, Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg, said at the ceremony.

As one of the employees of the visa center told reporters, even when working in test mode, which preceded the opening, the Chinese visa Center served 100-200 visitors a day. The capacity of this center, according to her, allows to serve more than 300 people daily.

The Visa application center is located at 26A Liteyny Prospekt. He accepts documents by appointment from the owners of ordinary passports on weekdays from 9.00 to 15.00 Moscow time.

As previously informed by the Consulate General of China in St. Petersburg, holders of diplomatic, service passports or those who apply for a diplomatic visa, a service visa, as well as a courtesy visa, must apply directly to the diplomatic mission.
