Czech citizen arrested for 13 days with fine for picket on Red Square

OREANDA-NEWS The Tverskoy Court of Moscow appointed Mikhail Plamenek, a citizen of the Czech Republic, 13 days of administrative arrest and two fines totaling 60 thousand rubles for committing administrative offenses, the press service of the Moscow City Court reported.
The court found that on the afternoon of September 20, Plamenek went to the Lenin Mausoleum on Red Square, holding a poster with an inscription in English aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"Since the foreigner was holding a single picket on the territory adjacent to the residence of the President of Russia, in a place where public events are prohibited, he was detained by law enforcement officers. He refused their legitimate demands to go to the police station and resisted," the court's press service said.
The foreigner was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (public discrediting of the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation), Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code (violation of the established picketing procedure), and Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code (disobeying a lawful request of a police officer).
