OREANDA-NEWS  Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, called copper the new gold amid record exchange prices for it.

"Copper is the new gold," Dmitriev wrote on his page on the social network X.

On Tuesday evening, the exchange price of copper on the Comex exchange reached $6.903 per pound, which became a new historical high.
