OREANDA-NEWS Cameras on the roads often mistakenly record certain offenses, which is why drivers receive undeserved fines. Evgeny Ladushkin, head of the expert company LEM Solution, warned the Russians about this in an interview with RT.

Most often, erroneous fines are issued for holding a phone, seat belt, and speeding, as determined by automatic locking cameras. According to Ladushkin, this is due to the fact that in poor visibility, the device cannot recognize the strap or the exact location of the phone.

In the case of the belt fine, the expert recommended carefully examining the photos attached to the resolution and challenging the decision if there are signs of a belt on them. If a fine is issued for a phone, the driver will have to prove that he did not use the gadget without the handsfree system — this also requires photo and video evidence.

Errors with speed penalties are most often related to the fact that the car has a twin car. "That is, a car with a similar fake registration plate. Or when the sign is erased and perceived by the camera as from another car," Ladushkina explained.

In this case, the expert advised contacting the traffic police and providing evidence that the camera captured another car.

Earlier, changes to the rules of the road came into force in Russia, which impose new requirements on drivers with incorrect child seats. The measure will affect "substitutes" for child seats, including the use of various straps, adapters, and frameless car seats.
