OREANDA-NEWS The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) hit a church in the Kursk region, which caused it to burn out from the inside. This was reported in the Kursk diocese, RIA Novosti reports.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Tetkino, Kursk region. The temple inside was completely burned out, the roof was wooden, it was burned, collapsed," the diocese reported.

They stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had struck purposefully. There is no information about the victims yet. The department did not provide any other information about the situation.

According to the latest data, 72 cultural heritage sites were damaged in the Kursk region. In early May, the Dmitrievskaya Church of 1880 in the Khomutovsky district and the Feodosiyskaya Church in the Glushkovsky district, which was built in 1903, were damaged.
