OREANDA-NEWS  The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia managed to cancel the cancellation of Russia. This is reported by EurAsia Daily.

The diplomat, commenting on the results of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition in St. Petersburg, said that the event adequately responded to those who tried to abolish Russian culture.

According to Zakharova, despite the fact that since the beginning of the year the Western media have been trying to replicate negative predictions about the contest and throwing in ideas that it allegedly no longer exists, the event has become the main musical competition in the world.

"I think this event is a huge success of the organizers, who adequately responded to those who tried to abolish Russian culture. Russia has canceled the cancellation of Russia," the diplomat added.

Earlier, People's Artist of Russia and organizer of the II Moscow International Jazz Festival Igor Butman called the abolition of Russian culture in the West temporary.
