OREANDA-NEWS  In October, 68 underground gunsmiths were detained in 31 regions of Russia, 304 firearms and more than 18.4 kg of explosives were seized from them. This is reported by the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC).

Detentions were carried out in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Ingushetia, Mordovia, Sevastopol and other regions.

According to the intelligence service, 83 artillery shells and mines, 51 hand grenades, 15 fuses, 15,250 cartridges, 7 cold weapons, as well as 3 machine guns, 22 submachine guns, 14 submachine guns, more than 100 rifles, carbines and rifles, 150 pistols and revolvers were seized from illegal circulation. The special service clarified that the activities of 31 underground workshops have been discontinued.

The footage of the operational video shows the detention of two young men in whose car pistols were found, as well as the detention of illegal gunsmiths on a mountain road in North Ossetia. In addition, a number of harsh detentions in other regions are shown. One of the "masters" in the operational footage shows special devices for converting starting pistols into combat ones. Another illegal gunsmith shows a machine for making ammunition of different calibers.

A month earlier , the FSB reported the detention of more than 90 underground gunsmiths . In September, 349 firearms were seized and 35 clandestine workshops were shut down. In June, 116 underground gunsmiths were detained in 38 regions.
