OREANDA-NEWS  Gasoline began to be diluted at car gas stations in Russia. Fuel quality is being manipulated in order to keep prices down, said Yuri Valko, head of the Russian Automobile Service Union, to NSN.

According to the expert, low-quality gasoline began to appear more and more often in the country. So, recently it became known about the massive breakdowns of Chinese Geely crossovers — representatives of the company said that the problem could arise due to "possible deviations in the composition and quality of the fuel used in Russia."

"Russian gasoline producers have started saving on quality due to the inability to raise prices. There is a connection between these rumors and what happened. Many began to increase the octane number due to some additives due to the economic situation against the background of shortages in certain regions," explained Valko.
