OREANDA-NEWS Heating will start turning on in Moscow on October 1; heat supply will be phased and will take several days, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"On October 1, we will start turning on the heating in Moscow. It is gradually getting colder in the capital, and to keep the houses warm, we will start turning on the heating on Thursday," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the Max messenger.

The heat supply will be phased and will take several days. "First of all, we will provide heating in kindergartens, schools and hospitals. Then in residential buildings, office buildings, commercial and industrial enterprises," the mayor said.

The preparations for the season were completed on time. All engineering systems are ready for the heating period, emergency crews and necessary equipment have been prepared, Sobyanin added.
