OREANDA-NEWS  Testing for influenza and other respiratory infections in hospitals and polyclinics will be carried out under compulsory health insurance policies, the government website reported.

"The decision was made in connection with the increase in cases of influenza, including in combination with coronavirus. It will allow you to quickly identify the type of infection in patients and prescribe the necessary treatment. Studies for influenza and ARVI can be carried out simultaneously with a PCR test for coronavirus if there are indications," the publication says.

This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said the day before that all patients with SARS manifestations should be tested for influenza at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin. She explained that this is necessary to reduce the risks for the sick.
