OREANDA-NEWS  The new owners of the former IKEA plant in Veliky Novgorod have renamed the company from Ikea Industry Novgorod LLC to Extrovert LLC since April 28, it follows from an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

It is also reported that the company has filed an application for registration of the trademark LLC Extravert. The Invest Plus company, associated with the St. Petersburg manufacturer of kitchen countertops and facades Slotex, in March acquired IKEA's largest Russian production site - Ikea Industry Novgorod LLC. The asset consists of a factory for the production of laminated chipboard and a cabinet furniture factory. As previously reported, the company in Veliky Novgorod will produce products under its own brand and plans to develop the production of components for business class furniture. The new owner intends to invest up to 3 billion rubles in the development of production in the next two to three years.

IKEA is the world's largest retail chain of home improvement goods, founded in 1943 in Sweden. Since 2000, the company has opened 26 stores in Russia (including hypermarkets in the Mega shopping center, studios and city format stores). In March last year, the company announced that it was suspending all sales in Russia due to the military operation in Ukraine, and in June that it did not see an opportunity to resume them in the foreseeable future, and therefore it would make cuts in Russian personnel and sell local factories. The IKEA company in the Leningrad and Kirov regions was acquired by the manufacturer of lumber from Komi "Luzales", in Veliky Novgorod - the SPV company "Slotex" "Invest Plus".
