OREANDA-NEWS The Artemovsky City Court of Primorsky Krai will consider two criminal cases on the smuggling of Mongolian oak to China, which belongs to strategically important resources, in the amount of 16.8 million rubles. This was reported by the Department of the Prosecutor General's Office for the Far Eastern Federal District.

According to the prosecutor's office, two of the accused in the group forged documents on the legality of harvesting wood, received permission to export wood and filed false declarations to customs. Most of the wood was exported to China by rail.

Criminal cases have been initiated under articles on large-scale smuggling of strategically important resources and smuggling by an organized group. The court seized the property of the accused in the amount of 4.3 million rubles.
