OREANDA-NEWS The natural needs of people support the construction market in the Russian Federation, and its cooling is temporary and will end with a reduction in the Central Bank's key rate. Alexey Boyko, CEO of the developer of the residential project "Noticeable City" in Vladivostok, predicted the acceleration of the pace of construction in a conversation with TASS.
"Construction is slowing down — this is a "fictional character." Construction never slows down, because it is an absolutely organic need for people. The low availability of square meters for each person means that we have not yet reached the point where people are sufficiently provided with housing. And besides, housing is becoming obsolete," the expert noted. He clarified that after the increase in the key rate, the deposit rate increased, and therefore citizens decided to postpone the purchase of apartments. Meanwhile, Boyko stressed, the key rate is "not eternal," and after its reduction, construction "will catch up again."
Earlier, Denis Zhalnin, CEO of the People development company, predicted a possible shortage of small apartments in the country amid restrictions in the construction sector and changing customer requests.
