OREANDA-NEWS The Cabinet of Ministers has removed from restrictions on the export of more than 200 items of foreign-made goods from Russia, including certain types of medical products, telecommunications equipment, electrical machines and mechanical devices, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia reported on Friday.

The ministry recalled that in March last year, the government imposed restrictions on the export of foreign products that are critical for the smooth functioning of key sectors of the economy. The document developed by the Ministry of Economic Development clarifies the procedure for these restrictions.

"The new resolution, on the proposals of industry departments and representatives of Russian business, excluded a total of more than 200 items from export restrictions: household goods, certain types of medical products, telecommunications equipment, electrical machines and mechanical devices, etc.," the report says.

In addition, as indicated in the press release, the reduction of the range of goods of foreign origin restricted for export also simplifies the procedure for the export of Russian goods. Now exporters who export goods excluded from the regulations do not need to obtain certificates of origin confirming the production of products on the territory of the Russian Federation.
