OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, it was proposed to exempt new regions from paying loans issued by Ukrainian companies. The relevant bill is published on the State Duma website.

A number of senators and deputies have prepared a document that introduces a moratorium on debt collection from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions that arose before Ukraine before it was incorporated into Russia.
The ban on the compulsory collection of funds for obligations from state and municipal enterprises of the new regions will be in effect until January 1, 2026.

"The draft law is aimed at further improving legislation in order to ensure the effective integration of the reunified subjects of Russia into its composition, as well as the protection of the rights of citizens living in their territories," explained Andrei Klishas, head of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation of the Federation Council.

According to the text of the document, the exceptions will be obligations to compensate for harm caused to health, compensation for harm in connection with the death of the breadwinner, claims for compensation for moral damage, payment of severance payments and remuneration of persons working (who worked) according to the employment contract, payment of remuneration to the authors of the results of intellectual activity.

Earlier, bailiffs forgave residents of the new regions for debts owed to Ukrainian banks. This was announced by the head of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) Dmitry Aristov. The head of the service stated that the collection of debts on loans or loans to banks registered in Ukraine "is not subject to enforcement" on the territory of the new subjects of the Russian Federation.
