OREANDA-NEWS  Representatives of Russia and China discussed approaches to regulating the waste management industry and the prospects for digitalization, the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) reports.

The online meeting took place on Monday, June 23rd. The parties discussed the specifics of national legislation regulating the field of waste management, as well as exchanged experience in implementing digital accounting and control systems in the industry and discussed prospects for further cooperation.

Earlier it was reported that Russia wanted to adopt the Chinese experience of urban planning. According to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Chinese residents have planned many settlements, and the country's housing supply is 41 square meters per person, and more than a billion square meters are being commissioned per year. In Russia, a similar volume is planned for only six to eight years.
