OREANDA-NEWS  The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions began checking after reports of two lionesses freezing in a circus tent in the Chelyabinsk region, the press service of the department reported on Monday.

The incident occurred in Kopeisk (today it is up to -15 °): as the Rosselkhoznadzor inspector found out, from October 21 to October 29, the circus toured this Ural city, and then went on vacation for the winter.

"An individual entrepreneur voluntarily allowed a representative of the supervisory authority to enter the premises of the animals. Two young lion cubs (lionesses) are kept in cages in the trailer, there is also a heater, the room temperature at the time of the visit was 10 ° ... In addition, at the request of the prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region, the department will conduct an inspection in the next day. The entrepreneur was informed about this on December 18," the release says.

At the same time, it turned out that the businessman did not have veterinary accompanying documents for animal feed, in connection with which the Rosselkhoznadzor sent him a warning.
