OREANDA-NEWS The authorities decided to arm the guards who are present at mass events in the Yaroslavl region. This was announced by the governor of the Russian region Mikhail Evraev in the Telegram channel.

"We have decided that now we will post armed guards at all mass events. People's lives are the main value. There should be no half measures here," the governor reported.

He stressed that the terrorist attack in Crocus was a reason to increase vigilance. In this regard, the Yaroslavl region will maximize security measures during large-scale mass events, Evraev said.

After the terrorist attack in Crocus on March 22, all shopping malls in Russia increased security. They also additionally tested the operation of evacuation systems (unlocking doors, light displays and stopping escalators), as well as voice alerts. Against the background of the terrorist attacks, the attendance of the shopping center in Moscow on Saturday, March 23, fell by 20-45 percent.
