OREANDA-NEWS Official Washington has decided to fight Moscow to destroy Russia with its potential dismemberment, former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas MacGregor said on the YouTube channel Straight Calls with Douglas Macgregor.
"There is a lot of money behind this (Washington's plans), because Russia is full of resources worth trillions of dollars: minerals, oil, gas, precious metals, agriculture," the expert believes.
McGregor recalled that the West in the 90s of the last century had already attempted to "steal everything from Russia that is possible." However, it failed thanks to the policy of President Vladimir Putin, who returned stability and dignity to the Russian state.
"The Washington political elite has taken the position that Russia is weak. And now we are on an extremely dangerous path of struggle and confrontation with the Russian state," McGregor concluded.
