OREANDA-NEWS The incident at the CHPP in the city of Shagonar in Tuva led to the shutdown of central heating, the press service of the republican government reports.

"All four boilers at the Shagonarskaya CHPP were not damaged and are in working condition, the administration of Kozhuun confirms. At the moment, the central heating is turned off due to emergency circumstances," the message says.

According to the latest data, the fire at the CHP was localized on an area of 50 square meters, the number of victims reached 18 people.

Classes in the schools of Shagonar have been canceled. According to the Minister of Education Elena Hardikova, children are transferred to their parents and legal representatives. "Every institution is under control. We keep the heat as much as possible until the emergency situation is eliminated. The management of kindergartens and schools have been instructed on further actions," she says in her blog.

The Ministry of Culture of Tuva has prepared heat guns, which, if necessary, can be used to heat four cultural institutions in the district center.
