OREANDA-NEWS India shows great interest in Russian IT products and developments, although it itself has significant competencies in this area; there are promising niches for exporting domestic IT technologies, Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told reporters.

"Representatives of India were interested in intelligent systems - for example, a system of unhindered charging of trucks on the roads, smart navigation and tracking systems of ships, security systems in transport and in the city," he said.

"We see promising niches in the Indian market for increasing the volume of Russian IT exports, in particular, biometric systems and identification tools, information security, but we are not limited to them. Despite the substantial competencies of the Indian IT sector, the interest in Russian products and developments is very significant. This is a good help for the development of the digital attache's activities in this country on the basis of our trade representative office," Manturov added.
